The challenge

Bookings, pricing, payments and fleet operations ran as separate processes.

Customers wanted live tracking and accurate arrival times, and the business needed better routes to save fuel and time.

The platform had to handle large booking volumes securely and grow with the company.

What had to change

The constraints the new system had to remove.

  • Real-time vehicle tracking and dynamic arrival times
  • Route optimization for fuel and time
  • High-volume bookings and secure payments
  • Integration of geolocation and weather data
What we built

One platform connects booking, pricing, payments, live tracking and fleet operations, with third-party maps, weather and messaging services.

How the system works

4 steps from problem to platform.

  1. 01

    One operating platform

A Laravel and Vue.js web application brings bookings, tracking and fleet management together, with interfaces for customers and admins.

  2. 02

    Pricing and payment at booking

Prices are calculated instantly from distance, weight and vehicle type, with payment through Stripe and PayPal.

  3. 03

    Live tracking and routing

GPS tracking on interactive Google Maps, location-based route optimization and weather-based route adjustments.

  4. 04

    Operate at scale

Hosted on AWS and DigitalOcean behind Cloudflare, with Twilio notifications for customers and drivers.

Key engineering decisions

Why it was built this way.

Price at the moment of booking

Instant, rule-based pricing removed back-and-forth quotes and made online payment possible.

Use proven location services

Google Maps, weather data and Twilio handled maps, conditions and messages, so the build focused on the business logic.

One platform, two audiences

Customers and admins work from the same data through different interfaces, so status is never out of step.

The outcome

What changed for the business.

  • Customers book, pay and track in one place
  • Operations see every vehicle and booking live
  • Routes adjust to location and weather
  • A platform that scales with the business
